Add a stealth element to the game?
I think that there should be a little stealth in this game. Like you only show up on an enemies mini map if you are actualy spotted. This would be great so you could actualy set up ambushes. Also give you in-battle camands to make your character lay down. While laying down you cannot do anything. Laying down would be just to lower your profile while on the top of a cliff so you are not spotted. Also maybe even give the ranger a skill "gillie suite" (or however gillie is spelt). This skill will take a while to cast but your ranger will put on a big suite that kinda blends in with the surroundings. Or maybe even make the gillie suite a signet every can use.
If you are wondering, a gillie suite is the camoflauge snipers and them wear.

what wouldn't be bad is only seeing enemies on the mini-map if they are pinged. Other then that its just a map...

You would gain a good advantage on this. It is kinda hard to ambush or flank someone properly because they see your dot the whole time. I am not syaing to make a huge stealth element, just a tiny one. Like minor camo and that. Better yet, make it so that in pvp matches enemies dots do not show up on the mini-map at all. This would make it so you would have to comunicate with your team alot more.

That suggestion is more so of a First Person Shooter game idea.

I disagree, I think the advantage would be huge. Think about it, each of your team might get the first hit. Those first hits could be spread through the team, or targeted directly on the healer, to finish them off fast. (I assuming this in a PvP situationm, though in a PvE situation the advantage is still there)
However - I do recommend this if it is in a PvP situation, then it should be a specific type of fight, not simply placed in to the normal fights.

The problem is it would get hacked.
Since the locational information *is* on your computer (it has to figure out what you can't see, right?), the cheaters would quickly figure out how to make you show up on *their* screens.
Sorry for the downer....

I think i know what you mean, but even so, the fact it would get hacked, doesn't make any difference.
The simple solution to hackers is not to play with them. We still deserve this element of combat.

Easy to say, impossible to do. How do you determine that your randomly selected opponents in the Arena or Tombs are not cheating?
What this suggestion basically boils down to is, "Let's make competitive play impossible for anyone who doesn't cheat." I don't think that's a good idea...
Besides, it's more interesting to see who's the better player in a magical world of full-disclosure, where we can all see where everyone else is and what they're doing. If you have someone selected, you can see what skill they're using -- that's against the whole stealth idea, too, but it adds tremendously to a game with counterspells and other such tactics. As it stands, the game relies more on making the right decision with all the information available, rather than on tricks for information denial. If you lose, it's because you didn't make the right choices, not because you didn't have the information you needed to make the right choices. I think it's better that way. As well as making the game fair, since all that information is instantly available to cheaters. If the information is instantly available to cheaters, it needs to be instantly available to everyone, or it ain't a fair game...
